From a vendor in France, I purchased the 1st edition of the Grimaud Tarot de Marseille (1930), unique in some special ways (a marvelous bright yellow shield on the Four of Pentacles--with three fleur-de-lis on it; so lovely). I now have all of the French editions of the Grimaud series from 1930 to 2012, including a recent reprint of the 1930 edition which I highly recommend for anyone looking for one "traditional" deck to have in the bag.
I'm just back from a guided meditation led by Carolyn Cushing (http://artofchangetarot.wordpress.com/2012/03/30/591/) and if you're quick, you can make her 5 pm or her pm sessions on Strength and The Hermit.
Ours was with the Emperor. It was deep to the point where at times, Carolyn's voice was like a song in the background with no words.

Tumbling to strike the earth.
And amid utter darkness
Light streams in
As his beak breaks shell.
Much can be learned by asking, "What is the energy underlying this card?" Even more can be learned by asking, "What happens if there is too much of that energy? or "What happens if there is too little of that energy? By asking these questions, we arrive at a place where we can ask the most important question of all, "What can one do to fix the energy imbalance?"
