Consultation
Not everyone seems to understand what a consultant can be. Imagine that you're getting a chance to speak with someone who knows the intricacies of the software you're using--how it works under the hood, so to speak. Imagine that the person can explain all of it in plain English (and a sense of humor). And you can ask any question you like, and you'll get a straight answer. That's what a consultant can be.
Q. What kind of projects need consultation?
A. Quite a few:
changing software vendors
"black box" projects (you don't know how it works)
upgrades, migrations
anything that puts your data at risk
embarking on a new venture
direct mail projects
initiating major changes
...and countless more
Q. Can I get references?
A. Of course. Email me and I'll send you a list.
Q. Can you handle large scale projects?
A. I have worked in Western Massachusetts since the mid-80's. I maintain contacts with many of the programmers and systems professionals in the Pioneer Valley.
Q. What if I don't see my database on your list?
A. Contact me anyway. We may be able to figure it out; if not, I'm likely to know whom to call.
